Years Ago, a Random Comment on My Video Sparked an Idea for a Solana Social Launchpad; and Now It’s Here

It’s 2020, and I’m uploading random videos like everyone else. One of them gets a thousand or so views and this random dude comments “investing at 100 likes” and I’m like haha okay weird flex but whatever.

Fast forward and the video actually pops off. 207k likes and a 1m+ views. And this SAME GUY comes back and comments: “damn I actually wish I could’ve bet money on this blowing up.” And I’m sitting there like.. wait. Why can’t we?

Quick background on me – I’ve been trenching since forever. At a young age I was selling digital items for crypto while having one of the biggest EBay Fortnite account selling shops out there. Spent high school summers doing landscaping with my boys. Got heavy into memecoins last year, caught coins early and made nice gains. I have Been trading ever since.

But that comment stuck with me for YEARS. Because he’s right.. social media is broken for this. Think about it. You see a video at 200 views. You KNOW it’s about to go viral. You show your friends, you’re early to the culture, you’re part of the moment. You wish you could build a community at-least and then… nothing. It hits 5 million views and all you get is the ability to say “I saw that first” at parties. Cool story bro.

Meanwhile the creator gets a bunch of hearts and maybe some brand deal months later if they’re lucky. Everyone else who was early? Zero. Nada. That’s dumb. Crypto fixes this.

So I built EngageMint. It’s simple: you upload a video or meme, connect your Solana wallet, adjust how much supply you want, etc, then click MINT. Boom. Your content is now a token. People can actually buy in on stuff they think will blow up, or that is currently blowing up using the different features on our site.
