Why I won’t touch a Crypto Presale without liquidity-lock proof

I’ve been burned before. Hype was perfect, roadmap looked clean… then the pool got drained. Since then, my rule is simple: no liquidity lock, no ticket. A locked pool makes it way harder to execute a classic rug (dev yanks LP, price goes to zero). It’s not bulletproof, but it’s the first filter for any crypto presale I touch.

Here’s my 60-second checklist for any presale crypto pitch claiming to be among the best crypto presales:

• Public LP lock (timelock or reputable locker). Screenshots aren’t enough—verify the contract + duration. Burning LP ≠ locking; burning can still be gamed, locking is auditable.
• Real liquidity depth. A “100% locked” pool with tiny USD value is theater. Size matters more than the percentage.
• Team & token vesting. Time-locked team tokens reduce dump risk post-launch.
• DEX mechanics sanity check. If LP tokens can be burned to withdraw reserves, you need proof those LP tokens are locked away from the team.

Why I’m strict: billions were lost to rugs and Ponzi-style schemes last year, and liquidity pulls remain a primary vector. If a project can’t lock, I assume they won’t.
