$CRCL catching major headlines - our fight against Circle is no joke for crypto and memecoins - SmashBotAI

Just A Circle ($CRCL) has begun catching eyes across the crypto markets. Several large crypto news outlets have reported on Circle Internet Group’s allegations of brand infringement against $CRCL – links are below. Thank you to Protos for breaking the news.

While $CRCL is starting to make some headlines, we’re only just getting started and our David vs Goliath fight against corporate bullying by Circle Internet Group is one that we won’t give up on. Yes, $CRCL is just a circle and is a memecoin on Solana. But this matter is no joke for crypto and memecoin enthusiasts. Circle is asserting its weight as a $45 BILLION (as of writing) market cap company against a memecoin project that had 0.001% of its market cap ($450 THOUSAND) at the time of the email from Solscan on July 7, 2025. If we don’t fight back, who will? If we don’t take a stand now, then when? What other projects down the line are going to fall to the pressure of corporate behemoths, who have high-powered attorneys on their side filing every frivolous, baseless legal claim they can against projects supported by normal retail crypto enthusiasts? Circle Internet Group, as a publicly traded CRYPTO company, is the last one anyone should have expected to make such ridiculous allegations.

We’re still not sure what Solscan was referring to in their disclaimer of “copyrighted or trademarked material without authorization” on the Solscan page for the token. Nor are we clear why Solscan is “currently investigating an allegation of brand infringement, following a report submitted by Circle and their Authorized Representatives” (emphasis added). I conducted a search on the US Patent and Trademark Office’s website (link below) for “CRCL” and found nothing filed by Circle. So then are they accusing Just A Circle of infringing on the shape of a circle? Seriously…it’s just a circle.
