A few years ago, I had the chance to get into cryptocurrency. I remember sitting on my couch, scrolling through endless discussions about Bitcoin and Ethereum, hearing people debate whether they were revolutionary or just another passing fad. I thought about it long and hard. I saw the stories of people turning small investments into life-changing wealth. And yet, I hesitated.

At the time, I had the money. Not a lot, but enough to get started. But I kept overthinking it—What if it crashes? What if I lose everything? I told myself I’d wait, that I needed more research, more proof, more something. Time passed, and prices crept up. Every time Bitcoin hit a new high, I’d think, I missed my chance; it’s too late now.

I had a front-row seat to the greatest wealth-building opportunity of our time, and I let fear hold me back. It’s almost laughable now, watching those who took the leap celebrating their wins. The guy who got in early and held on? He’s cruising around in a Tesla. The friend who begged me to buy just a little? She’s now planning her early retirement. And me? I’m sitting here clinging to my fiat currency and my regrets.

So, congratulations to all of you who saw the potential and went for it. You deserve your success. As for me? I deserve to sit in the corner, wearing the metaphorical “L” on my forehead. I hesitated when I should’ve acted, doubted when I should’ve believed.

Maybe this regret is my lesson. Or maybe I’m just destined to be the person who says, “I could have been one of them.” Either way, hats off to the winners. You took the risks I couldn’t. Enjoy the fruits of your courage—you earned it.
