8 months in $PLATH — why I’m still here

People are the most important part of any memecoin. And people are also the most important part when it comes to helping animals. For me, $PLATH is both.

I first bought $PLATH back in December when it launched. Now it’s August — 8 months later — and the coin is still here. I’m still here too, and I’m more invested now than before.

The market has changed a lot during these months — pumps, dumps, boring sideways — but the team kept working. They didn’t give up. Right now the market cap is around 220k. I think that’s actually an interesting point: the coin is still cheap, so it’s possible to get in without taking big risks, and there’s space to grow.

At the start $PLATH’s team adopted platypuses every time the market cap hit a new milestone. They adopted more than 30 of them at every market cap milestone until $PLATH reached 2.9M. Now the project is moving beyond platypuses to start saving more endangered animals.

The team is integrating a crypto payment system on their website where people can choose which animals they want to support and pay with crypto. While adopting, people will also have the option to pay a little extra and get a free NFT. Each NFT carries a certificate of adoption in the metadata, showing that the owner is a caregiver. NFT holders even receive dividends.

I thought this idea was genius, because in my country you can go on a marketplace (like Amazon) and buy certificates to support shelter dogs or cats. I’ve done that myself more than once. But here, with $PLATH, you can help other endangered animals around the world. And it’s all going to be built into a dApp.

The community is another reason I’ve stayed. It’s not only charts. Some people I’ve exchanged messages with, but mostly I’ve just been quietly watching for 8 months. And I can say the team and the community are worth paying attention to.

So for me it’s simple: why chase coins with crazy 1000% green candles that usually end in rug pulls or scams, when you can be part of a project that has a real mission?
