CHAPTER 1 — The Rug Pull (Literal)

I’m mid-match in a major online game, sweating, locked in and my mom walks in like:

“I’m trying to clean here, can you please pull the rug to the other side of the room?”

I tell her politely: “I don’t like pulling the rug. It makes me sneeze.” Simple boundaries, right? Exactly!

She stares at me. Then at the rug. Then back at me and just says: “Then take your stuff and leave with it.”

So boom — I grab my bag, my hoodie…and my trusted $YOUDEGE Founder coin and walk out with full confidence like this is all part of my destiny arc.

As the door closes behind me, I think to myself the only thing that made sense: “I don’t like rug pulling… I’m a developer“, and boldly walk towards my destiny.
