The Only Thing That Matters in Memecoins Is Momentum — Here’s How I Track It Now

Lately I’ve been testing a new approach to finding early memecoins, and it honestly changed the way I look at the whole space. The idea is simple: ignore the noise, ignore the fake hype on X, ignore the manipulated charts — and focus only on real momentum.

A lot of people don’t realize this, but the earliest and most reliable signs of momentum start on Telegram. Not on X, not on Reddit, not even on charts. Telegram call groups are usually the first places where a coin gets pushed, discussed, and picked up before it shows up anywhere else.

Because of that, I stopped relying on the early chart phase — there are too many tools now that make volume, holders, and liquidity look legit when it’s all artificial. Instead, I track how widely a new coin is being mentioned across different call groups. If one random group calls it — who cares. But if 6–10 groups mention the same token within a short time, that usually means something real is happening.
