Solana Meme Coin Rug Pulls: Making the work for creators and investors

I think the wave of Solana meme coin rugs pulls is missing a bigger opportunity right now. Over the past weekend I watched the trending meme coins closely. There were plenty of random attempts to quick grab money from investors, but there was also one coin that seemed to really understand how this trend could work for everyone.

I do not have any connection to the folks organizing the Grok AI Coin🚨, but they made a lot of money for themselves and investors this weekend. The key was that they gave time for people to make their money back so that everyone was playing with house money. Over time, they built up trust in a repeating pattern that was not exactly the same, but it was reliable enough to take a risk on it.

As an investor in rug pull schemes, I am very wary of the myriad of small tokens attempting to copy the success of others. I make sure there is a signature I can identify and a pattern that is reliable and highly successful. If the creator is on a moon shot and it is still early on, they are very likely to wait and see how it goes.

This got me thinking. Obviously the big money to be made on these schemes is by the token creators. Now, there are those that say these rug pullers are crooks stealing people’s money. I don’t see it that way. I actually don’t have a problem with the player playing the game. When I invest in a new meme coin that is skyrocketing, I know what the game is. I know the risks and I know the advantages. I have to be okay losing all the investment based on random timing of my entry and the creator’s exit…

But what if there was a reliable entity, let’s call it Rug Pull 1+Hour (RUG1+) that basically said to the crypto world, “I know I’m going to pull the rug, you know I’m going to pull the rug, but I will give you enough time to make a profit so you can play the game after one hour with “house money”. I promise not to pull the rug at least for one hour and everything after that is a gamble. It could go for 1 hour and 1 second or 3 hours or 10 days, but the first hour is guaranteed.

Tell me what you think of this idea. I know this is what I’m looking for as an investor.

P.S. I am off the grid living simply, happily and abundantly. If I make money as a creator it will primarily go to my work of supporting indie recording artists who make chill acoustic music.
