My 7-Point Filter for crypto presale Hype (And What Still Trips Me Up)

If a crypto presale looks too good, it probably is. Here’s the 7-point filter I use before touching a wallet:

1. Real utility > vibes. Clear problem, simple solution, shipping cadence.
2. Team verification. Doxxed/KYC + credible history. Anonymous teams + zero track record = pass.
3. Tokenomics that won’t crush price. Check supply at TGE, vesting cliffs, team allocation, and inflation. Big unlocks kill charts.
4. Liquidity lock. Is LP locked (how long, where), or can they yank it? No lock = no buy.
5. Security checks. Third-party audits + honeypot tests (TokenSniffer/RugDoc/etc.). Audits don’t guarantee safety, but they cut risk.
6. Community quality. Fewer botted giveaways, more builders answering hard questions.
7. Launch + listings plan. Realistic roadmap, not “CEX tomorrow, 100x next week.” Presales ≠ shortcuts.

What still trips me up? Slick sites with decent docs… but unlocked LP or sneaky sell limits. That’s classic rug/“honeypot” territory—read the contract, check permissions, and test a tiny buy/sell first.
