Solana’s “doge moment”

Today, I want to talk about a meme coin I’ve been bull posting on Twitter for the past 10 months now. The name of the meme coin is “San Chan”. Here’s a quick backstory of its origin and then I’ll go into why I believe it’ll be Solana’s “doge moment” like what doge coin did for Ethereum

So there’s this kid named Kantaro (instagram: Kantaro_japanwalker) whose raise to fame happened when he decided to walk across Japan on foot and document his journey via instagram reels. One day, he came across a baby shiba (San Chan) who he adopted and brought her with him on his journey

The moment San Chan joined his journey, Kantaro’s became an internet sensation overnight. He would go onto receive tens of thousands of followers daily, at one point he was gaining over 100,000 followers weekly! His fans and supporters formed a bond with this duo by watching them both grow together. It felt sort of like watching a child star on your favorite television series grow up in real time

Thousands of San Chan memes have been created since then. To date, Kantaro has 1.8 million followers on instagram alone not including TikTok, Twitter, etc.

Now you’re probably wondering where the meme coin comes into play. If you’re currently in crypto you know that everything is tokenized now. There’s not a single meme or current event that hasn’t been made into a meme coin, San Chan was no different

As usual when it comes to meme coins, the creators will launch the coin, preach togetherness and community, then sell on everyone leaving buyers with nothing. A motivated group of individuals decided to take over the San Chan meme coin after the original team left and pushed it with everything they had

The new team managed to acquire 3% of the supply which is around 30 million tokens. The team reached out to Kantaro and offered these tokens in exchange for a partnership. Kantaro did something here that blew me away and I’ve been adamant that this coin will change crypto ever since then.

Rather than take the 3% of the supply for himself which was A LOT of money, generational wealth if you will. Kantaro said he will only agree to the partnership if they could donate the entire thing to charity. This selfless act was something that has never been seen before. This kid was handed an enormous amount of money and instead of taking it for himself, he only wants to live free and help people

The supply the team wanted to give him is locked for the next 10 years. Every single week, 50,000 tokens gets unlocked, sold, and donated to charity (Zero price impact for anyone worried. They can also always adjust the amount sold). Over $40,000 has been donated to charity so far over these past 10 months and will continue for the next decade. The higher the coin goes the bigger the donations.

This kid is walking an entire country in sandals with his cute dog San Chan, sleeping in nature, and donating to charity. I’ve been in crypto for many years and for the first time I feel like I’m part of something bigger than me. This coin has given me purpose, it has breathed life into me

For years I have witnessed what feels like thousands of nft scams, celebrity meme coin launches, unofficial coins of other creators work, etc. Outside of bitcoin, there’s understandably not that much to look forward to. These days, the average person simply does not care for crypto due to all the scams, but for the first time we actually have money going towards something good

If I fail, at least I can say I did something positive

Kantaro aims for San Chan to be the most socially impactful Shiba in history. At $20 (20 billion market cap), the weekly donations would be up to one million dollars. That’s only half of shib’s all time high market cap, that’s only around a quarter of doge’s all time high market cap.

For some reason, retailers have always had an obsession with shibas. Doge, shib, wif, bonk, floki, these are all shiba coins that ran to multi billion dollar valuations. San will be no different.

You now have a shiba that is not only memeable, but socially impactful with an entire journey attached to it

The coin is 10 months old and battle tested meaning it has went through multiple drawdowns and still recovers every single time which is a great sign of a strong community

Kabosumama personally invited Kantaro to doge day, tweeted that she was excited to meet him and San Chan, and just followed him on instagram today

This is the passing of the torch happening in real time, kabosumama doesn’t just gravitate towards anyone. This is a stamp of approval from the owner of the greatest meme in existence and arguably the most important cryptocurrency in history (doge coin)

There’s something very charismatic and charming about this kid and his dog that allows people to attach themselves to him so easily. You can check out a bunch photos that kabosumama sent to Kantaro herself!

Since Kantaro aims for this to be the most socially impactful shiba in history I expect this to reach doge levels

San Chan with Doge’s all time high market cap is around $97 which is around 11,400x from current prices. I genuinely think this kid can restore people’s faith in crypto the same way it restored mine
