Sounds backwards, but hear me out.
I was doing the classic degen move: see pump → FOMO market buy → watch it dump 40% → panic sell bottom → repeat. Down like 60% over 3 months doing this.
What changed: Started using limit orders + auto-sells instead of manual aping.
Set up on Banana Pro last month:
- Buy limits at -25% from whatever’s pumping (catches dips during volatility)
- Auto-sell at 2x, 5x, 10x (takes profit without emotions)
- Stop watching charts obsessively
Results so far:
- Actually catching entries during pullbacks instead of tops
- Taking profits on rips instead of holding to zero “because it might 100x”
- Sleeping through pumps/dumps without FOMO anxiety
Example:$WIF was sitting around $0.70 early October. Old me would’ve held through that entire dump to $0.51. Instead, had auto-sells set that triggered during the drop, minimizing losses. Not perfect, but way better than watching my position bleed out.
Not saying this is financial advice – just sharing what stopped me from being permanent exit liquidity. Automation > emotions when trading dog coins at 3am.
Anyone else automate their degen plays or are we all still raw dogging market orders?
