YieldBasis ($YB), a fresh DeFi project tackling yield and impermanent loss the right way

I have been tracking early stage DeFi protocols that focus on fixing real pain points rather than recycling the same farming models. YieldBasis ($YB) caught my eye because it tries to make yield farming more sustainable, offering yield for BTC and ETH holders while reducing impermanent loss through an auto-rebalancing mechanism and controlled leverage.

The idea is simple but powerful: stabilize exposure while keeping yields active. Instead of chasing volatile APYs or dealing with complicated LP management, YieldBasis automates the process, aiming to make passive income less risky and more consistent.

$YB recently went live with its exchange listing and a Launchpool event on Bitget, which allows users to stake $BGB to earn $YB rewards. The total supply is 1 billion tokens, with around 88 million circulating, and there is a $14,000 reward pool supporting early adopters. Personally, I prefer using these Launchpools to gain exposure, no high-risk trading, just staking and letting the rewards accumulate.

It’s interesting to see how projects like this are evolving the DeFi yield model. YieldBasis is reportedly connected to Curve Finance’s ecosystem, which adds credibility. Still, it’s early, and risks like smart contract issues or leveraged mechanisms breaking under volatility are always worth keeping in mind.

For me, I’m taking a light, passive approach, staking, watching adoption trends, and seeing if the model actually holds up over time.
