Shifting My Focus in Trading

For a long time I was obsessed with timing. I always wanted to catch the move right at the start, checking my entries over and over to see if they could have been sharper. Sometimes I nailed it and felt on top of the world, but other times it just left me frustrated because the market doesn’t reward perfection the way I imagined. You think you’ve caught the exact spot, then watch the chart move in ways that make you question everything. That chase can really drain the joy out of trading if you let it.

I noticed this a lot with tokens like $CUDIS and $USDUC. I wasn’t super early, and at first that bothered me. I thought being late meant I had missed the chance, but then I saw the volumes picking up even after I was already in. That’s when it clicked, people were rushing into these tokens on Bitget because they were part of the required set in Phase 53 of the onchain trading competition. It wasn’t just random hype. The demand was shaped by something bigger, and realizing that shifted how I looked at the whole trade.

Since then I’ve been learning to stop stressing about being first. Timing helps, sure, but what comes after is more important, things like patience, position sizing, discipline, and doing deeper research. Anyone can buy a token early, but it’s how you handle the trade once you’re in that decides the outcome. My mindset now is to focus less on the perfect entry and more on how I move when momentum is already here, because the market keeps showing me it’s not just about who arrives first, it’s about who plays it right when the crowd finally shows up.
