Could a community-driven coin really become a real payment method?

I’ve been following the rise (and fall) of a lot of meme coins lately, and I’m curious about your thoughts. Most of them are short-lived hype, but what if one actually tried to bring real-world utility, like payments in shops?

I recently came across (and joined) a project on Solana called Gangster Pepe Pay. The idea: • Limited supply (69M coins) • Built on Solana for fast + cheap transactions • Aiming to integrate with Solana Pay for shops & communities
