ETH trading already good… now exchanges adding freebies??

Aside from the profits you actually generate from trading ETH, I’ve noticed that some CEXs (especially the bigger players) basically try to stack extra value on top through promos and events. And aas someone who leans ETH-maxi, I was just browsing around and stumbled on Bitget’s current deal that literally says you can “win 1 whole ETH by trading ETH.”

Honestly didn’t expect to see that kind of upside stacked on top of just holding/trading. Feels kinda wild that you can buy ETH at a discount during this market, still build your bag, and at the same time get entries into a promo that could add another whole ETH on top. Not financial advice of course, but it does make me think about how competitive these exchanges have gotten with attracting ETH traders.

Back then it was all about fees and liquidity, but now it feels like CEXs are fighting to throw perks at us just to stay relevant. Makes me wonder if these promo rewards should be factored into strategy or just seen as “bonus alpha.” Curious if anyone here actually optimizes for exchange promos or if you’d rather ignore them and focus strictly on raw PnL.
