Been testing wallets for 6 months – found something interesting about cross-chain functionality

Finally got fed up with juggling 5 different wallets for different chains. Been deep-diving into options that actually work across multiple ecosystems without the usual headaches.

Most “multi-chain” wallets are basically just multiple wallets duct-taped together. You end up with fragmented balances, confusing interfaces, and still need to bridge constantly.

Found a few that actually solve this properly:

MetaMask – solid for EVM chains but Solana support is clunky

Phantom – excellent for Solana but limited elsewhere

Backpack – interesting because it natively supports Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Sui, and Bitcoin in one interface. The cross-chain bridging is built-in via Wormhole, so you can move assets without leaving the wallet.

What caught my attention about Backpack is the xNFT thing – NFTs that actually function as mini-apps within the wallet. Sounds gimmicky but it’s actually useful for accessing dApps without connecting to external sites.

Also has hardware wallet integration (Ledger/Trezor) and some unique security features like NFT locking that prevents them from being stolen even if your wallet gets compromised.

Anyone else finding decent solutions for true multi-chain management? Still feels like we’re early but some progress is happening.
