Many gamers have experienced the frustration of losing access to in game items or progress when a platform changes policies or shuts down. This raises a real concern: who really owns game content?

Alliance Games is attempting to address this by building a decentralized infrastructure for Web3 gaming. Instead of relying on centralized servers, they enable individuals, communities, and data centers to run nodes that support gameplay and data storage. These node operators are rewarded in $COA or $WORK tokens, creating a distributed, community-powered system.

The project recently saw its token $COA listed on Bitget. Alongside the listing, the exchange announced several events with token rewards. While this is common for listings, it does suggest early stage activity and some exchange support.

What is potentially interesting here is the alignment between The exchange broader focus on DApps/NFTs and Alliance Games’ model of player owned content and infrastructure. Of course, time will tell whether this model gains traction or fades, but it’s another example of how blockchain is being used to rethink ownership and control in digital environments.

Would be interested to hear others takes, especially from those who follow Web3 gaming or run validator/node infrastructure themselves.
